GIGABYTE OPEN Overclocking Championship 2009 - Indonesian Qualification

Indonesian Qualification

Date : 28 Feb and 1 March 2009



Peraturan umum

1. Peserta adalah warga negara Indonesia.

2. Pendaftaran dilakukan oleh peserta dengan mengirimkan data diri, yaitu
Nama, Alamat, Nomor Telepon ke email : benny@ne.co.id, konfirmasi akan
dilakukan setelah email diterima.

3. Hardware dibawa oleh peserta masing masing, yang diwajibkan adalah
motherboard P45 GIGABYTE DDR2 model bebas, prosessor Intel Core2
Duo/Core2 Quad model bebas, hardisk, memory DDR2, PSU, VGA bebas.

4. Operating System yang dapat dipilih oleh peserta : Windows XP SP2/SP3,
Windows Vista. Sudah dalam kondisi terinstall di dalam hardisk, termasuk
seluruh driver yang dibutuhkan, dan utility overclock yang dianggap oleh
peserta perlu.

5. Peserta dapat melakukan instalasi lebih dari satu partisi atau lebih dari
satu hardisk.

6. Yang disediakan oleh panitia adalah keyboard, mouse dan LCD Monitor 19
inch dengan output DVI, peserta membawa sendiri konverter bila merasa
membutuhkannya. Daya listrik yang disediakan 600 watt per meja.

7. Setiap meja terdiri dari 1 orang peserta saja, tidak ada asisten

8. Pendingin dibawa sendiri oleh peserta.

9. Jenis pendingin yang diijinkan, HSF, Watercooling, Dry Ice. Phase Change
dan LN2 tidak diperbolehkan.

10.Panitia tidak menyediakan obeng, gunting, thermal pasta, kipas, air atau
dry ice. Peserta membawa sendiri kelengkapan ini.

11.Software pengujian akan disediakan oleh panitia, dan di install/copy pada
saat perlombaan berlangsung.

12.Peserta dapat melakukan pergantian periferal bebas, selama masih dalam
ketentuan hardware wajib yang disebutkan diatas dan selama waktu masih
tersedia.

13.Selama kompetisi, peserta wajib mengenakan seragam yang diberikan
panitia beserta ID card.

14.Keputusan Juri mutlak dan tidak dapat diganggu gugat.


Peraturan Babak Kualifikasi (28 Februari 2009)

Maksimum peserta dalam 2 sesi adalah 24 orang (tiap sesi 12 peserta)

Peraturan Kompetisi Babak Kualifikasi

1. Peserta wajib hadir paling lambat jam 11.00 WIB (untuk sesi I), jam 16.00
WIB (untuk sesi II), dan melakukan registrasi ulang untuk mendapatkan
seragam dan atribut lainnya.

2. Pemilihan tempat/meja dilakukan dengan cara di undi.

3. Peserta diberikan waktu 1 jam 30 menit untuk melakukan set up dan
mempersiapkan sistemnya masing masing, sekaligus melakukan instalasi
program benchmark atau utility dari panitia. Dalam masa persiapan ini,
tidak diperbolehkan ada orang lain selain peserta di area kompetisi

4. Penilaian :

Faktor yang akan dinilai, antara lain :

Total CPU clock
Front Side Bus (FSB)
Memory frekuensi tertinggi
Super PI 1m.

Perolehan masing masing pengujian, dicatat berdasarkan CPU-Z 1.49 dan
peserta wajib menyimpan validation file dan screenshot.

Bobot penilaian :

Untuk masing masing pengujian, diberikan nilai :

Posisi I : 10 poin
Posisi II : 8 poin
Posisi III : 6 poin

Peringkat disusun berdasarkan total poin yang diperoleh, dan 5 peringkat
teratas pada masing masing sesi berhak ikut pada babak final.

Peraturan Babak Final (1 Maret 2009)

Peserta yang berhak ikut pada babak ini, adalah 5 peringkat teratas dari masing masing sesi pada babak kualifikasi.


Peraturan Kompetisi Babak Final

1. Peserta wajib hadir paling lambat jam 14.00 WIB dan melakukan registrasi ulang untuk mendapatkan seragam dan atribut lainnya.

2. Pemilihan tempat/meja dilakukan dengan cara di undi.

3. Peserta diberikan waktu 1 jam 30 menit untuk melakukan set up dan mempersiapkan sistemnya masing masing

4. Hardware seluruhnya disediakan oleh panitia, kecuali peralatan pendingin.

Pendingin yang diijinkan HSF, Watercooling dan Dry Ice.

6. Penilaian :

Untuk dapat mencatatkan nilainya, peserta mengangkat tangannya untuk kemudian dilakukan verifikasi oleh juri dan dicatat. Juri berhak untuk meminta peserta mengulangi pengujian bila dianggap hasil nilai pengujian tidak meyakinkan.

Peserta bebas melakukan benchmark selama waktu masih ada.

Bobot penilaian :

Untuk masing masing pengujian, diberikan nilai :

Posisi I : 10 poin
Posisi II : 8 poin
Posisi III : 6 poin

Total poin tertinggi keluar sebagai pemenang. Bila terjadi nilai yang sama, akan ditentukan dengan melakukan benchmark Super PI 1M.

Hal hal lain seperti Hadiah dan list peserta dan yang dianggap penting akan diumumkan secepat mungkin.

Sikap Asus dan Gigabtye Dalam Menyikapi Generasi Processor Terbaru Dari Intel

Asus dan Gigabtye kini di hadapkan dengan penderitaan karena terlalu banyak membuat motherboard berbasis chipset Intel 4 Series, sedangakan permintaan akan kebutuhan pasar sedang lesu dikarenakan krisis global.
Disisi lain Intel sendiri telah menyiapkan generasi processor terbaru yaitu Havendale dan Lynnfield, ini meyebabkan para petinggi Asus dan Gigabtye kelabakan dan meminta Intel untuk menunda dulu jadwal pembuatan processor terbaru Intel dan lebih konsentrasi ke penjualan motherboard chipset intel 4 series. Namun, Intel masih berencana untuk mengikuti jadwal aslinya.
